Atlanta, October 23, 2000 – *NStync came out and addressed what everyone was afraid to go near coming off the street.
"This stinks! I mean, who believes this! Brokli is a close friend of mine and in no way is she out of control with Phlat U. Lance," said band member Gaston. "She only said that she liked her experiences with Phlat U. Lance. But in no way was he the ‘wind beneath her wings’. That’s it - unfortunately, (for everyone) it seems like this just keeps lingering around no matter how much she tries to fan it out. I am also outraged by the industry publications that are perpetuating these lies."
Brokli and Phlat U. Lance first got a hint of one another at Buffalo Chip’s grand opening last spring. "He came up to me at the buffet station. He gave me a devilish grin, cut some cheese and then just walked away," said Spears. "After a while I mustered up the nerve to ask a friend of the band, Halle Toesis, about Phlat U. Lance. It was really kind of a sweet introduction (to P.U.), nothing overpowering like what I have experienced with some French people," said Spears.
Phlat U. Lance admits to his association with Brokli Spears. "Brokli and I enjoy one another. I enjoy what she puts out there. And I think I’ve got a nose for talent. But talk of Brokli Spears and Phlat U. Lance is more than I can stomach," said Phlat U. Lance.
